Tále is the Halq’eméylem word for ‘money’. Elders adapted the word from English ‘dollar’, but you can use tále for any kind of money (coins, cash, etc.).


Pronunciation

Tále sounds like TA-luh.  The a sound is the same as in English hat, bat, mat.
