Illustration for p'óth'es - baby basket

P’óth’es means ‘baby basket’.

Pronunciation

P’óth’es sounds like PAH-ts-uss , except that the first p is ‘popped’ (by combining it with a catch in the throat or ‘glottal stop’). There  is also a glottal stop after the th sound.

Note: some speakers pronounce th’ as ts+glottal, others pronounce it as t-th+glottal.
