Súq’em means ‘to look for’‘ or ‘to seek’.

Pronunciation

• Súq’em sounds like SOOK-um, except that instead of a k you say the Halq’emeylem popped q (q’).
• To make the q, you touch your tongue back to your uvula.
• To make it popped (q’), you combine it with a catch in the throat (glottal stop).
